After validating the Master degree, a student may choose to enter a Ph. D. program. The Ph. D. program in France lasts 3 years (unless complication or part-time). During these three years, the PhD student carries out his work on an original and formative research topic such as "the impact of cosmic rays on the suicide of New Zealand cockroaches", which will enable the PhD student to become an international expert in his scientific field. Once his thesis is defended, the young PhD will have professional research experience and an internationally recognized BAC+8 diploma.
